Why merge PDFs with FileSeb

Most "free" PDF mergers upload your file to a server first — which means your document, even briefly, sits on someone else's computer. FileSeb's Merge PDF tool runs the entire process with JavaScript inside your own browser tab. Your files are read into your device's memory, combined there, and the result is handed back to you. Nothing is ever transmitted anywhere.

That also makes it fast: there's no upload wait and no download queue, since there's no server round-trip involved at all. And because merging just combines the original page data, there's no quality loss, no recompression, and no watermark added to your finished file.

What this tool actually does — and doesn't do

This tool combines multiple PDFs into one document by copying their pages in the order you select — the output reads exactly like the source pages, in the click order, with no re-encoding of text or images.

It works with text-based PDFs (contracts, reports, scanned page sets). The one hard limit: PDFs that are password-protected or encrypted can't be merged here, because the browser has no way to verify credentials for files it never sees. If you hit that, the tool tells you plainly instead of producing a broken file.

Two honest notes: it doesn't detect or remove duplicate pages (that's a different kind of tool), and it doesn't reorder pages automatically — the order you pick is the order you get, so add files in the final order you want.

How to merge PDFs, step by step

  1. Add two or more PDFs. They appear as a list in the order you add them.
  2. Arrange the order. The merged file follows the list order — make sure the sequence reads the way you want the final document to read.
  3. Merge and download. One PDF comes out with all pages carried over in order.

Limits worth knowing

Merging keeps each page exactly as it was — fonts, vectors, and image quality are copied from the source documents, so the output is never re-compressed or degraded. Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged until you unlock them first; the tool tells you clearly if a file is encrypted. Very large batches (hundreds of files) are limited by your device's memory, since everything is processed locally.

Privacy

Your documents are read into browser memory, combined there, and handed back. No server ever sees a single page.
