FileSeb converts files entirely inside your own browser. Your documents and images are never uploaded to a server, so we never see, store, or have access to their contents.
Every tool on FileSeb — merge, split, compress, convert — runs using JavaScript that executes on your device. When you drop a file into a tool, it is read directly by your browser into memory. It is not transmitted anywhere. When you close the tab or refresh the page, that file and its converted output are gone unless you've downloaded them.
To power certain conversions, FileSeb loads open-source JavaScript libraries (such as PDF, spreadsheet, and text-recognition engines) from a public content delivery network (CDN). Loading these scripts causes your browser to make a standard network request to the CDN provider, the same way loading any web font or script would. Your files are not sent as part of these requests — only the library code itself is downloaded, once per session.
FileSeb shows ads served by Google AdSense to help keep the tools free. Google and its advertising partners use cookies — including the DoubleClick/Google Ads cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This does not affect how your files are processed; ads are served separately from the tools, and no file content is ever shared with any ad network.
If you're located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, Google requires us to obtain your consent before using cookies or personal data for ad personalization, in line with the GDPR and the EU ePrivacy Directive. Where this applies, you'll see a consent message before any personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time through that message or through Google's Ads Settings.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Under laws like the GDPR and CCPA, you generally have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to how it's used. Here's how that applies to FileSeb specifically: the tools themselves don't send your files or their contents to any server, so there's no file data of yours stored anywhere for us to access, correct, or delete — it never leaves your device in the first place. The only data outside your direct control is what Google's advertising cookies collect, which is covered above and controlled through Google's own settings, not through us. If you have a question about this that isn't answered here, use the contact details below.
Aside from advertising cookies described above, this version of FileSeb does not include any analytics or tracking pixels. A small amount of data (like your dark/light mode preference and whether you've already left a review) is stored locally in your browser via localStorage and never leaves your device. If you add analytics when deploying your own copy of this site, update this policy to reflect what you've added.
If FileSeb adds a contact form, newsletter signup, or account system in the future, any information you submit through it would be covered by an updated version of this policy at that time.
FileSeb is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly.
